TONE OF GOD'S VOICE

Memorise: "He, that being often reproved hardeneth his neck, shall suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy." (Prov 29:1)

Read: Matthew 11:28-30

God has several tones of speaking depending on several factors. First, He could plead with an individual or nation. In Ezekiel 18:31-32, God asks: 'Sinners, why will you die?' Here, He is begging sinners to repent. Are you still living in sin? The Lord is begging you to quit today. In Proverbs 1:22, He asks: How long will you simple ones love simplicity? In other words, how long will you stupid fellows continue in stupidity? Secondly, He could advice. For instance, in Deuteronomy 30:19, He gives a piece of advice for you to choose life and live, out of two options. He is the best person to give you advice because He is the Wonderful Counsellor (Isaiah 9:6). Have you accepted His advice? Going by Matthew 11:28-30, another tone of God could be invitational. He invites you to come and reason with Him (Isaiah 1:18). The day you will heed His invitation and take your burdens to the Lord, you will become a free person. Are you still carrying your load of care all by your limited strength or resources?

God's tone could also come in form of an encouragement. In Isaiah 1:19, He tries to motivate you to be willing and obedient so that you can access the best planet earth has to offer you. Similarly, in Proverbs 1:23, God encourages you to take correction so that He can release His Spirit upon you, and reveal His Word to you. Are you ready to be corrected? In addition, another mood of God's voice could be a warning. God likes to warn people before judging them. In Isaiah 1:20, He warns that destruction awaits those who reject His Word. Similarly, in Proverbs 29:1, He warns that continuous stubbornness can attract irredeemable destruction. Has God been warning you of certain sins yet, you continue? Repent today before your time of grace runs out! Moreover, when God has warned but the fellow continues to pay deaf ears, then God can use a declarative tone according to Proverbs 1:24-31. Also, in Hosea 4:17, God said Ephraim should be left alone with his idols. May God not leave you to your self will! In Hosea 5:9, God said Ephraim shall be desolate. This was no longer a warning but a declaration. God can also speak with a tone of command. In Genesis 1:3, He commanded that there should be light. In Matthew 28:19, God commands that believers should go and preach the Gospel. Have you obeyed His command?

Action Point:

When you hear His voice, determine the direction of His tone and comply immediately.

DIVISIONS NOT ALLOWED

Memorise: "Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment." (1 Cor 1:10).

Read: 1 Corinthians 1:10-13

If there will be unity in a family, church or a group of people, the role of the leader cannot be over emphasized. A leader should be the unifying force over those he or she leads. In this regard, the leader should ensure his subordinates' opposing or dissenting views are harmonized in a way as to carry all of them along their common objective for being together in the first place. Unfortunately, some leaders deliberately encourage divisions, by sowing seeds of discord and turning one subordinate against the other. They call it divide and rule 'strategy'. That is satanic! Some leaders encourage or provide the platform for subordinates to create camps. Not Jesus! As long as Jesus was physically present, He was the rallying point of unity for all His disciples. One day, two brothers - James and John brought their mother to lobby Jesus, so that they would secure the highest positions in Heaven, right beside the Lord Himself (Matt 20:20-24). When the other disciples heard of it, they were very angry! That move could have broken the twelve into separate camps. But the Lord handled it with wisdom and they remained united without killing the desire of the Zebedees to attain heavenly greatness.

It is very challenging to unite people with diverse backgrounds, goals, interests and understanding. However, it is very easy to cause division. One hallmark of a true leader is that he or she is not easily carried away by comments or selfish actions of the team he or she is leading, as the group goal is uppermost in his or her heart. Another person who could not stand God's church being broken into camps was Paul. In His days, converts began to break into at least four different camps right in the church at Corinth but with wisdom, Paul resolved this and unified Christ's church. Are you instrumental to the division of God's church? You are calling for God's judgement. Repent and restitute. Go and meet the people you sowed those seeds of discord into and compel them to reverse their rebellious acts. This will be good evidence of your repentance.

Key Point:

A body that is dismembered cannot operate as a whole. A part of the body can never be the whole. Division limits us. Strive for peace and unity

HOSPITALITY

Memorise: "Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares." (Heb 13:2).

Read: Hebrews 13:1-2

Another lesson from the story in 1 Kings 17:17-24 is that God rewards the hospitable. The woman who lost her son was a hospitable person. One benefit of hospitality is that hospitable people may not suffer a permanent loss. An example here was Abraham. In Genesis 18:1-14, Abraham received heavenly visitors and pending promises of many years were fulfilled. Another example was Lot. In Genesis 19:1-22, when he received the angels who came in the form of men, he made them a feast. Through his hospitality, he delivered himself and his immediate family from the fire that fell from Heaven on Sodom. Similarly, Cornelius was hospitable and through this, he and his family were saved.

"Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares" (Heb 13:2). God wants His children to be hospitable. The hospitable have a way of attracting divine visitors such as God, angels or even men of God that can command God's blessings on them. Hospitable people are generous. They do not have to necessarily have all the money in the world. The little they have is presented with love and with all their heart. They strive to make their guests comfortable. They are prepared to sacrifice for the maximum comfort of their guests. The way they receive the guests will make them want to come back. They would prepare the best meals and present it in a most attractive and healthy way. Where they can, they would do everything to spoil their guests. They would make sure the visitor's room is swept, cleaned and dusted. The bed is well dressed and inviting. They will wait on their guests through out their stay. Where they cannot drive them to, they would arrange the cab that would convey them there. Hospitable people are homely and humble. How hospitable are you? Some people do everything just to scare visitors from coming to pay them visits. Are you hospitable? Hospitality should be taught to all your children. It is one of the healthy family values that Christian families must imbibe. How do you receive your pastors and ministers? How do you receive unbelievers in your home? The truth is, through hospitality, the Gospel message can be preached non-verbally and souls of visitors can be won.

Key Point:

If your hospitality cannot attract your visitors to Christ, you are probably not doing it right. Always be prepared to make your guests, even unexpected guests comfortable.

ALWAYS A REMNANT

Memorise: "Yet I have left me seven thousand in Israel, all the knees which have not bowed unto Baal, and every mouth which hath not kissed him." (1 Kings 19:18)

Read: 1 Kings 19:13-18

The letter the Lord wrote to the church in Sardis in Revelation 3:1-6 was a very sad one. Unlike the previous letters, there was barely anything good to say about them, except that there were a few who did not defile themselves. One lesson here is that the Lord Jesus is the most objective person you can think of. He calls a spade a spade, not an axe. If there is nothing good about you, He will say it with love to provoke you to do something about it. Church leaders, unlike Jesus have become so subjective. When an incident occurs, many ministers will do all they can to avoid calling it exactly what it is. This could be due to fear, favouritism, or tribal sentiments. One virtue that should distinguish you as a man or woman of God is your commitment to truth. If you cannot tell the truth at all times, irrespective of who is affected, you are a disgrace to the Christian Community. Do you take sides when judging a matter? How impartial is your judgement? Remember, Jesus says it is the way you judge, you will be judged yourself. If you denied someone justice, expect that you will be denied justice where it matters most. Be like Jesus - The Truth.

This passage also reminds us that no matter how polluted a people are, there is always a faithful remnant. They may be one, two or just a few; yet, there are those who will always strive to meet the Master's standards. This is why you must not allow anyone to deceive you. If people generally tell you that holiness is impossible, leave them alone. Look for the remnant few who believe God's Word completely. In Sardis, there was a remnant few. At a time the Israeli captives taken to Babylon compromised their faith and joined with the rest of Babylon to bow down to the golden image of Nebuchadnezzar, the remnant three stood for the God of Israel (Dan 3). At a time the nation of Israel backslid and began to worship idols during the days of Jezebel, there was a faithful remnant - Elijah and the 7000. In your generation, there is a remnant of God-fearing, heaven-bound saints. You have a choice to either be part of those who shall be saved, or the crowd that will be damned. Make your choice today!

Prayer Point:

Father, let me be a part of Your faithful remnant.

MOVE ON

Memorise: "Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light" (Eph 5:14)

Read: Psalm 1:1-3

When the prodigal son resolved to leave the pigs and return to his father in Luke 15:18, he was simply stepping out of the congregation of the dead. Ephesians 5:14 says, "Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light". Some people are not dead but asleep. It is dangerous to stay beside those who are asleep because they fail to recognize danger signs or observe what is going on around them; hence the above scripture compares them with the dead. When you fail to flow with what the Spirit is telling His church at a particular time, you are asleep. When your defences are down and you live like there is no enemy or danger in sight, you are sleeping. Do not keep company with those who are spiritually backward. Do you know some people are yet to receive the light of the Gospel that has shone on certain dark areas in the sixties and seventies? For instance, if you belong to the group of people who believe that financial or material poverty is a necessary condition to making it to Heaven, you are sleeping, probably spiritually dead. It is like somebody clinging tenaciously to the type writer with all its limitations in the age of computers and the internet. Stop limiting yourself! Jesus did not just say 'pray', He first said 'watch'. If you cannot watch, your prayers could be misguided. It takes one who is awake to watch and pray.

On the other hand, some are not sleeping but sitting. They are sitting with scorners, gossipers and those of critical spirit. Don't sit with such an evil crowd. Some are standing. As good as this may be, do not be kept on the same spot. Others are walking. That is some measure of progress but not enough because the King's business requires haste. The Lord is in a hurry, are you? There are those who are running. Even this is limited. Why run when you can fly? Why fly low when you can soar to the greatest heights? Never be satisfied with your position. Continue to press forward until you leave the earth.

Action Point:

Break off from everything tying you to the same spot today.

SUBMITTING TO SUPERIORS

Memorise: "Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God" (Rom 13:1)

Read: Romans 13:1-7

When Heaven's verdict was being pronounced on King Nebuchadnezzar in Daniel 4:15-16, it was stated that although the tree stump would be left, however, seven times would pass over him. This means while serving his punishment for seven years, God will not forget him. He may even get a parole afterwards. This act of God's mercy tells us that God never forgets the punished. Are you undergoing discipline and feel the whole world has turned against you and you feel like returning to the world? Don't! God has not forgotten you. Patiently endure that chastisement of the Lord because it is for your good. Afterwards, you will still have reasons to thank Him for that punitive action. Nebuchadnezzar was ignored for seven years! It is better to die than to be ignored by the One whose presence is needed each second. May you never be ignored by God.

Moreover, every divine judgement has a purpose. In King Nebuchadnezzar's case it was ".... that the living may know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men". If you are born again, then you are part of the living. In that position you are today, give God praise and be content. According to Daniel 4:17 and Romans 13:1-7, whoever becomes your boss or superior must be accepted even if such got there through questionable means. The fact is that, such a person could not have gotten there without God allowing it. Hence, if you rebel against your boss, you may indirectly be rebelling against God. Psalm 115:3 says God cannot be queried. God is free to do whatever He likes with any of us. Yet he is a wonderful friend but a dangerous enemy. Do all you can to keep Him your friend!

Action Point:

Do you find it difficult to submit to your superiors especially if they used to be your subordinates? Ask God for grace.

PARTAKING IN REVIVAL

Memorise: "Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away" (2 Timothy 3:5).

Read: 2 Timothy 3:1-5

We are at the threshold of the biggest revival in the history of the world. The world requires fire to jolt it out of complacency in order to appreciate God's move. Without signs and wonders, most unbelievers will refuse to believe. The faith of Christ is one that is backed up with power but if this essential ingredient is missing, it becomes an empty, unprofitable faith. Without the presence of fire, Christianity will not be different from the world's religions. When God started His dealings with the Israelites, fire played a key role. Even as the relationship between them progressed, the fire increased. But at some point, human wisdom suggested that they dropped the fire ingredient. From that time, power eluded them and their relationship with God became a form of religion that contained traditions, rules and laws.

"Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away" (2 Timothy 3:5). The coming of the Lord Jesus restored fire to the nation. Shortly before He ascended, Jesus promised His disciples a baptism of fire which took place on the day of Pentecost. At the upper room, literal fire was seen on the heads of the 120 believers. As the church grew, the fire waxed hotter and the revival progressed. The Acts of the Apostles is a record of the fire of the Early Church. How is it with us today? Methods, scientific gadgets and human wisdom are fast replacing Pentecostal fire. Human acceptance and applause is now preferred to divine recognition and approval.

The Early Church did not care about human approval and applause. Attempts at dowsing the fire of the Holy Ghost in the Early Church further increased it. After many years, this type of fire has not been seen in the world. But these last days, there is an outpouring of God's Spirit that surpasses the previous moves of God. You can be a part of it. To benefit from this move, you must be saved, live righteously. Your obedience must be total. You must have a heart for Him and be willing to spend and be spent for the Master. You must drop any tradition that conflicts with God's Word. You must be prepared to offer sacrifices of praise regularly. Break off from sinful partners and unequal yoke. Cut off compromise and be prepared to stand out for the Lord. Let your greatest desire be to please Him according to His terms. The fire of God will fall upon you this season. Your life, family, business and ministry will never be the same again.

Prayer Point:

Father, make me an instrument of Your revival as You release fresh Pentecostal fire on me.

IT'S GOOD TO TEST

Memorise: "Prove all things; hold fast that which is good" (1 Thess 5:21)

Read: 1 Thess 5:21-22

If you love God, you will find yourself hating all that God hates. One thing that is expected of every bona fide believer in Christ is a probing mind. Without a probing, curious and meticulous mindset, the average believer might be prone to deception. In Matthew 24:24, Jesus warns: "For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect". Why should you prove all things? It is because Satan has sent several counterfeits into the spiritual market place. If you are not probing and spiritually discerning enough, you might end up purchasing fake spiritual products. Today, there exists fake or counterfeit versions of every gift of the Holy Spirit. If you see them in manifestation, you could be convinced they are the original. If you look from a distance, you would most probably be deceived. But if you look closely and compare every component with that of the original as spelt out by the Word of God, you will realize you were dealing with fakes.

If you really love God, and hate evil, you will adopt the attitude of the Berean Jews to first probe everything they were given and compare it with the Word of God before accepting or rejecting it (Acts 17:10-11). Do not accept just any doctrine flying in the air because there are many doctrines being taught in many places that the Bible calls doctrines of devils (1 Tim 4:1). Some leaders have bought satanic doctrines from the spiritual market place without discerning it. They are spreading same to others. This must stop! The Word of God is the standard. Anything that negates this supreme counsel must be abandoned with speed. How discerning are you? Do you take time to prove all things? How probing is your mind? Do you take nutty issues to the Holy Spirit to help you out? It is after probing things that you should hold fast to the good ones and abandon the evil ones. Carry out a thorough evaluation of your beliefs and compare them with the Bible. Know the ones to adopt and sustain, but those that conflict with God's Word must be thrown into the trash can.

Action Point:

Proving or probing things is something God cannot do for you but will assist you in, if you really want to do it. Ask for a spiritually discerning mind.

GOD'S TESTIMONIAL

Memorise: "Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you" (John 15:15).

Read: Revelation 1:5-6

God testifies that you are the salt of the earth and the light of the world (Matthew 5:13-16). The testimony of a child of God is of great significance. Revelation 1:5-6 says we have been made kings and priests unto God. 1 Peter 2:9 says, "But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:". By divine appointment, every child of God is a priest of the King of kings, a saint and a holy person. He is peculiar - different. As salt of the earth, the believer arrests decay and preserves what is good. This is why corruption should not thrive anywhere a bona fide believer is. Are corrupt practices flourishing where you are? If yes, then you are not living as the salt of the earth that you are.

Long before refrigerators were invented, salt was used in preserving meat. It is able to keep flies at bay and therefore prevent infestation of maggots. If meat was already decaying, as soon as salt was introduced, that was the end to its decadence. In what ways have you lived up to God's billing or testimony? Being called the 'light of the world' makes us the opposite of darkness. The entrance of light brings in shouts of jubilation, joy and life. Whenever there is light, you would be prompted to attend to tasks that were abandoned. To what extent have you affected people around you as salt or light?

In John 15:15, Jesus further calls us friends. It is a great honour to be introduced as the friend of Mr. President how much more as the friend of the Most High God. You can be certain that all doors will fling open to you at the mention of that Name - Jesus. What God expects from you is that having called you with such precious names, He wants you to live up to what you are called so that, it can become your testimonial. Ask God for grace to live up to the worth of your names. It is when your life agrees with the name the Lord has called you that it becomes your testimonial.

Prayer Point:

Father, empower your church worldwide to live up to the gracious names she is called.

DOES YOUR FAITH PLEASE GOD?

Memorise: "By faith the walls of Jericho fell down, after they were compassed about seven days" (Heb 11:30)

Read: Mark 11:22-23

If you want to be a winner, you must know this foundational truth that with God you cannot possibly lose, and without Him, you cannot possibly win. In Exodus 14:21-28, all Moses did was lift up his hands. That was his input. God did the rest. The Lord parted the Red sea. Winning in life depends largely on your relationship with God. There are three foundational truths you must know as a winner. First, recognizing that their success depends on God, winners do everything in their power to please God. How? Hebrews 11:6 says it takes faith to please God. Winners are men and women of faith. They demonstrate faith in all they do. Habakkuk 2:4 says, "Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith". Your faith in God is your most prized possession. It is so important to God that, He said the just shall live by faith four times. It is also why a whole chapter of the Bible was devoted to winners who did exploits through faith (Heb 11). According to 2 Corinthians 5:7, the one who would please God must not limit his or her decisions to only what can be seen. We do not walk by sight. Is your level of faith pleasing to God?

"By faith the walls of Jericho fell down, after they were compassed about seven days" (Heb 11:30). If only you can have faith and put it to work, there is no wall that can stop you. The type of faith you manifest is what determines how your blessing will reach you. Your level of faith makes it easy or difficult for your blessing to come. Some people believe that until a man of God lays his hands and prays for them, the problem will not go, while some simplify the process by tying their blessing to mere seeing or touching the man of God. There was a woman who was barren for several years who attended a meeting I was present at during my first year as the General Overseer. She came to the place at Alagbado, Ogun State with the belief that her problem would be over if only she could sight me. Unfortunately, I had left before she arrived. While weeping, she was directed to another place I would be. She was there early. I came in company of other pastors. After I was introduced, she heaved a sigh of relief and thanked the Lord. Nine months later, her baby was born because of faith! Is your kind of faith adding speed to or delaying your blessing?

Action Point:
Examine your faith and make conscious effort to develop it.

MORE THAN CONQUERORS

Memorise: "Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world" (1 John 4:4)

Read: Romans 8:37-39

If while preparing for a fight God shows you that at the end, even though you were knocked down, with your neck broken and one eye closed, you were declared the winner, you will approach such a fight with confidence. When the fight starts, and you receive punches from different angles and you fall, you will console yourself that you have already seen it in the dream. But your determination to win will be intact. Romans 8:37 says we are more than conquerors. This tells us that we are engaged in a warfare. There is a fight you must fight to get to the top. It also assures us of victory before the fight starts. The One who loves us says we have already won even before embarking on the fight. This promise is very reassuring because He knows He is the One to deliver that victory to us. That battle against sickness has been decided in your favour. You are going to defeat those forces of darkness engaging you in combat. You have won the battle against poverty. You are more than just a conqueror.

God is the Most High and the Almighty. He is so powerful that His weakness is still stronger than man at his peak of power. The phrase 'more than conquerors' indicates that there may be several battles to fight. Do not let anyone deceive you: there are many battles in diverse fields that you must fight. Your assurance in the midst of these storms of life is that you cannot fail in life's battles because Jesus never failed. Ephesians 3:20 says, "Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,". God as your source is ready to do the impossible through you. He is willing and ready for action, but are you? Do you allow His power in you to increase? Do you allow His Spirit in you to increase? You are the one to decide the measure of His involvement in your life and situation. If you give Him only 20 percent allowance in that situation, that is the extent He will work in your life. But if you however give Him full control of your life by allowing His Spirit to fill you up and have His way, you can be victorious in all battles that come your way. Fear not! The Lord will see you through all your challenges this period. Ensure you involve Him in all.

Prayer Point:

Take time to thank God for giving you victory over all life's battles and making you more than a conqueror.

THE LORD AS LIGHT

Memorise: "And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof" (Rev 21:23)

Read: Revelation 21:23-24

White symbolizes purity and perfection. God wants you to be perfect. People should have good report concerning your conduct. Daniel was so thorough that his detractors could not fault him in his work (Daniel 6:4). The Spirit of excellence that achieved this feat in Daniel will accomplish same in your life. In Matthew 3:17, God said: "This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased". Jesus was so outstanding that God had good report concerning Him. The Lord will have a good testimonial concerning your love, devotion and service this season. What are you clothed with? If you see people dressed up, see beyond what they are physically wearing; they could be putting on something else. The clothes and jewellery some are adorned with are subsumed in pride. I have seen pastors decked in pride as they were about to mount the podium to preach. You can be sure that God will leave the scene and flesh will have its way. Even though you are yet to be perfect, it is necessary you continue to desire perfection and one day, you will get there.

White is also a symbol of peace. If you are at peace with God and neighbours, it will be evident. In addition, white is a symbol of surrender. When the Lord was in conflict with His flesh concerning the trip to the cross, He came to a point of surrender and said: 'Father, not my will but yours be done' (Matt 26:39-42). Many of us determine when to obey and when not to. All you have today and will ever have comes from God. In God's school, there is no unmerited promotion. Before you ever make it to the next class or level, you must sit for an examination. There is no automatic promotion. Nobody can take an examination on your behalf as is done in the world today. The higher you go, the tougher the examination becomes. Whenever the elders in Heaven want to praise God, they will lay their golden crowns at the feet of Jesus Christ. White is also the colour of light. Revelation 21:23 says the Heavenly Jerusalem needs no sun because the lamb as its light is enough. One fact about light though is that it does not conceal anything. You can hide in the darkness but not in the light. The face of Jesus shone as the sun. No wonder Revelation 22:16 calls Him the Bright and Morning Star. He is the Star that shines by daytime. Any star can shine at night but it takes the light of the Most High to shine during the day. As you connect to the Light, your star will shine during night and day. Are you like this Light?

Action Point:

Lord, help me radiate your light everywhere I go.

GOD KNOWS YOUR END

Memorise: "Yea, mine own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, which did eat of my bread, hath lifted up his heel against me" (Ps 41:9).

Read: Psalm 41:9-11

As good as the beginning of your life, family or project may be, its end is far more important to God. It is good to start the Christian race, but Heaven is more concerned about how that race will end. Acts 15:18 says God already knows how you will end your journey right from when you embarked upon it. This is so because God is Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the Ending (Rev 1:8). According to Ephesians 1:3-5, everything concerning you had been settled by God before the creation of the world. Some people think they are where they are today as a result of certain events which took place many years before, or as a result of the meeting of their parents. That's far from the truth! Even before God created the world, He knew and had planned that you would be born at a particular time to fulfil a definite purpose. This is why you can never take God by surprise: He already knows what you are capable of doing throughout your life time.

While coming to this world, the Lord knew that somebody close to Him would betray Him. "Yea, mine own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, which did eat of my bread, hath lifted up his heel against me" (Ps 41:9). The betrayal of Christ was prophesied in the above scripture. Satan was free to choose who he wanted to do that assignment. Initially, he fixed his heart on Peter. Peter was Satan's target to fulfil that scripture but somehow, because he had become too close to Jesus, another meeting was called where the tempter was asked to pick another person for the job. Jesus prayed for Peter but it was not recorded that He prayed for Judas. Every evil plan that has you at the centre shall fail. Have you slipped from the path of righteousness? Have you betrayed the Lord like Judas? The Lord will have mercy on you and restore you in Jesus name. Have you been a victim of betrayal in the Christian faith? That makes you more like Christ. If your most trusted friend has turned against you, hold fast to the friend that never disappoints - the Lord Jesus. He will see you through to a successful end. You will end well. Hold on to Jesus the Ending, to give you an expected end.

Prayer Point:

Thank God for sustaining you up till now. Ask for grace to live for Him.

READY TO GO?

Memorise: "Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come" (Matt 24:42).

Read: Matthew 24:36-42

“Better is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof: and the patient in spirit is better than the proud in spirit" (Eccl 7:8 ).

This scripture is true of believers: Why? They started as sinners and ended as saints. And Isaiah 3:10 says it shall be well with the righteous. Are you a believer in Christ living daily before God in righteousness? Fear Not! It shall be well with you. It does not matter how seemingly bad things may appear today, your end shall be great. On the other hand, this scripture does not hold true for unbelievers because they started as innocent babies but ending as hardened sinners. For sinners, things shall continue to get worse. Believers will be spared the trouble of going through the Great Tribulation as they will be caught up to meet the Saviour in the air.

Today's reading says it can be compared to the days of Noah. No drop of rain fell until Noah entered the ark. But immediately after Noah's family and the selected animals were safe in the ark, Heaven released rain and the depth released the waters. While the inhabitants of the earth were being drowned one after the other, nothing happened to those within the ark. No sinner can survive or escape God's judgement because God knows how to preserve the sinner to go through the judgement that has been prepared for them (2 Peter 2:9). Are you sinning but have not been caught or punished? It is not because you are smart. You are not. You cannot escape the judgement except you enter into Jesus Christ - God's Ark of salvation, become born again and live right.

Moreover, although Jesus Christ is coming for the church - all those who are saved and washed in His blood, not all 'Christians' will go with Him. Why? Not everyone is born again. Of those that are born again, not every one of them is living holy. Unholy believers will be left at rapture to pass through the Great Tribulation for three and a half years. That will be another chance to live right but that will be too costly. It will cost them everything - their lives, property, profession, assets, or family. The lives they could not fully yield to Christ before the rapture will now be lost to the Antichrist. They will never be at peace as they will go out of circulation to live and worship God secretly under a world-wide antichrist regime. Now that you have the opportunity, why not make yourself fully ready? Are you ready for His coming?

Prayer Point:

Father, help me to be ever ready for your coming. Help me not to be taken unawares.
