Mon. 30/04/12 - Sun or Moon?

Monday 30 April SUN OR MOON? Memorise: And God made two greet fights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also. Genesis 1:16 Read: Genesis 1:14-18 Before God created you, He knew He was going to make somebody called you with all your antecedents Known unto God are all his works from the beginning of the world. Acts 15:18 This is possible only because He is the Alpha and Omega. Revelation 1:8 says: I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty. In other words, He is the eternal past, the present and the eternal future. Existence in its totality is wrapped up in Him. Everything meets together in Him hence, Colossians1:17says: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. Moreover, our God is a God of purpose and order. For instance, in Genesis 1:16-18, He created the sun to rule the day and the moon to rule the night. Do you know God did not make a mistake in arranging it in that order? The sun was assigned day while the moon was appointed night. Everything on earth revolves around light. If you follow the creation story carefully, you will observe that before God started creating anything, He first said: "Let there be light". He wanted to see what He was doing. As He continued, He made more lights - sun, moon and stars. No wonder God is light. The sun was assigned the day so that it can help people perform effectively. When you see the moon, if you were not thinking of sleeping before, you will desire to retire to bed. Some dull lights have a way of causing you to sleep while some other Iights stir you into greater consciousness. That is one purpose of the sun. The sun is an encourager. When it is shinning, you are encouraged to do your work. If you are at home and there is power outage at night, it will take great courage for you to still read or engage in activities. But immediately power is restored, you will be encouraged to work. The sun enables everyone under it see clearly. The sun inspires. Nothing can be hidden under the sun as it exposes everything. The sun affects everything under its influence. Jesus said you are the light of the world and therefore, you should affect everyone under your dominion for good. How are you shinning forth? Like the sun or like the moon? PRAYER POINT: Lord, since you are the Sun of righteousness, help me to shine like You.

Sun. 29/04/12 - Open Heavens

Sunday 29 April DIVINE INSPIRATION Memorise: But there is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty givetf) them understanding. Job 32:8 Read: Job 32:7-9 Our God is not only great but He is also merciful, gracious, slow to anger and rich in mercy (Psalms 103:8). When He stands, the earth trembles. Romans 9:10-15 says He decides who to extend mercy to and who to deny His mercy and nobody can query Him. He does as He pleases. When Peter and Judas were to go through tough trials of faith, He prayed for the former but told the latter to go ahead with His evil plot (Luke21:21-33). From 2 Samuel 12:24-25 I believe that when-Solomon was born, God loved him and as a result, God determined to make him great. That was why God prompted him to do what nobody else had done so-that He could have a reason to give him a level of wisdom that nobody else had got. When the God of Grace is about to be gracious to an individual, to give no room for Him to be accused of being partial, He would inspire the fellow to do what nobody else had done before so that He can give the fellow what He has never given to anyone before. That way, people will say it was what you did that provoked God's action. It is all about His grace! I once met a man who was so inspired. The first time 1 went to a meeting in Tulsa, USA, when it was time to give a special offering for the Bible College, this man stood up and asked for permission to speak. He challenged us that whatever we all gave would be the offering he and his wife would give. There were 17,000 of us in the meeting so we thought he was nuts to think he can out give us. At the end, a total offering of $3 million dollars was announced. And he asked, "Is this all you can do?" After the programme, t went to ask him his secret and he said five years earlier, he started a business with $500 dollars but told God that instead of tithing, he will take 10 percent and give God 90 percent of his profits. Within five years, his business grew from $500 to $50 million. Who inspired him to do so? It was God. Ask God for a divine inspiration that will trigger your breakthroughs today! PRAYER POINT: The ideas that will make me to provoke an uncommon blessing, Father give it to me.
